Do I read correctly from Russ's post that connecting to the wrong spade lug takes out part of the 2115 IC that drives the odometer, while leaving the speedometer functioning? That's the problem I'm experiencing.

If this is plausible, I may want to do the brute force substitution, instead of a detailed analysis. In the "91 speedometer" link, you talk about sourcing a 2115 IC. Can you tell me where I might find one?
