Pulling the instrument cluster 700 1991

Scott,

Are you referring to the gauge pod that is directly behind the steering wheel, or the centre stack.

From a very fuzzy memory, to pull the gauge pod, on either side of the pod, you will see two access holes, carefully insert a screwdriver into each one, does not have to be done at the same time, the clip behind will open and the metal housing can be removed, you need to apply a bit of pressure, to see exactly how to orient the screwdriver, look up at the pod from the foot well, flashlight needed. Once the metal surround is out, the rest of the pod is held in with screws, undo, rotate top towards you, undo the wires, remove pod. Installation is the reverse process.

BTW, why do you need to remove the pod?

Sean.
