Pulling the instrument cluster 700 1991

The 1991 and later 740 instrument cluster is very similar to the 1988 and later instrument cluster, and these are a bear to pull. My pictures are of a 1990 760 instrument cluster fascia. Your car must be very similar except that it doesn't have a tilt wheel, which you tilt down when remove the fascia in the late 760s.

There are two screws above the instrument cluster covered by small plastic trim pieces. Remove the plastic trim and the screws. Remove the chrome capped trim under the instrument cluster. There is a screw securing the right hand piece that is accessed with the glove compartment open. Remove the switch clusters on both sides of the steering column and remove the two screws you see. Now remove the vents from the instrument cluster. They pop out forward with a little carefull prying. There are three screws to remove, one at the top of each dashbaord vent. The pictures below will help you see where the screws are.
The instrument cluster fascia will now pull out, but be careful! The screws which hold the actual instrument cluster will be exposed.

Anything else?
