Of course while charging the car is typically sitting at idle with minimal air flow through the condensor. Even when properly charged vent and cabin temps do not get down to optimum until we start driving for a while (at least such is the case with my V90). After driving for 15 minutes or so with control set to recirculate, blower speed at 2 or 3 and ambiant 85 to 90 my vent temp will go down as low as 38F. This will never happen while standing still even with rpm increased to 2000 or so.
So the question is while cruising and cabin temp comes down to the setting on the control does the clutch really cycle. I am going to set up a temporary test LED inside the car connected to the clutch 12V supply to find out. Thats how curious I am.
