Yeah, lotta that stuff going around.

Several years ago, daughter was driving through Connecticut on I-95 and got a flat (one of her brand new Yoko Avids). In a panic, she went to the Goodyear store where they condemnd the Yoko ("It has a ruptured sidewall...") and sold her a new Goodyear tire.

Several weeks later, same thing to a different tire down near NYC. She went to a different Goodyear store. Almost the same story.

So she comes home with two "ruined" Avids in the trunk and two (different) el-cheapo POS crappy Goodyear worthless sh*tbag tires. I took the "ruined" tires to my local garage who proceeded to install plugs in the simple nail holes. The Avids are fine. Two different Goodyear stores took advantage of a naive young lady with a charge card. (If it were my card, I would have cancelled payment on those charges.)

The lesson I learned from Goodyear: DO NOT EVER GO NEAR GOODYEAR STORES. As far as I'm concerned, they are rotten, cheating crooks. And it's more than an isolated event -- two stores pulled the same stunt. Never again will I patronize a Goodyear store, use their products, or recommend them. In contrast, I'll take every opportunity to tell people that they're DISHONEST SLIMEBALLS.

OK, I vented. But I'll tell the store a thousand more times.
