Tachometer bouncing 700 1990

I believe this to be a normal occurance. I have an '89 740 which does the same thing and always has. The Greater the shift, from around aprox. 4500 RPM to say, 2000 RPM, the Tach will bounce quite a bit, and then settle, but if it is a less dramatic shift, the bounce may not even be noticible.
