My car is an 89 240 totally stock (including the original 561 ECU), recently washed and waxed. I give all the credit for my successes to my lightning like reflexes. Recent races include:

82 Cadillac Fleetwood- probably bone stock because the blue haired lady driving was original as well. She smoked herself with one of thoseskinny designer like cigarettes. I'm not sure she understood we were racing but that's not my problem- she lost.

98 Neon- probably stock, but the car carried a lot of graphics; several identifying it as Student Driver, which I think is a company that makes performance chips. Three kids and an adult in the car. The kid driving seemed to be very nervous. I beat him off of the line big time and never looked back. I smoked him!

70's vintage Chevy Pickup- This old hippy was very sly. Pretended not to notice me. I could hear the rumble of his V8 through his free flow exhaust system as I staged up beside him. The two dogs in the back really looked my ride over and pretended to be uninterested- actually if they were smart they would have been worried about the amount of smoke drifting out of the hippy's exhaust. I got him off of the line and as I looked back saw that he was in the turn lane to go to the Farmers' Market. Probably stoned and didn't know where he was, but he went down!

73 Mercedes 450 SEL with the 6.3 liter. I hadn't seen one of these for years. 400+ cubic inch overhead cam fire breathing monster from Germany. As he rolled up beside me at 80mph on the interstate I kicked it down only to have him do the same! His car looked like it was spring loaded as it leaped forward and disappeared down the road. I had an opportunity to spend a moment with him as the trooper was writing up our tickets. Mr. Benz wasn't very friendly and looked upset about being tagged for 134 in a posted 65. Can't win them all.

76 Citi Car. Still licking my wounds over the Mercedes humiliation I went looking for a victim. Found one of those electric Citi Cars cruising in town. I worked him over really good. I raced hiim for five lights. Problem was waiting at the next light until he got there- almost got rearended twice! I beat him all five times and he was game for more except his batteries were getting low.

81 Olds Delta 88 Diesel. Pimped out big time with wide whites, skirts, and sun visor. I think it was built up but couldn't tell because my windows were rattling from the sounds he was pumping out. I smoked him! He took the defeat in stride as he shook his fist out the window at me.

I think my list is fairly impressive, too, and I am still looking for more races with people who have a lesson to learn from the Volvo 2.3
