Tremmelle,
Oh, by all means we should all put out what our experiences have been. There's a lot to this, and no one -- and I mean no one -- even comes close to knowing it all.
There's a saying: "The good news about Webers is that they are infinitely tunable. The bad news about Webers is that they are infinitely tunable." I haven't had mine on a dyno yet (silly me), so I know they can be better yet. Even after, they'll be the best they can be with the parts I happen to have on hand that day... and I'll never know if there's some obscure emulsion tube that would be even better.
Once I get out from under several different hoods, I'm going to write an article about tuning the things... I've looked for info all over the Web, and I keep finding the same three articles republished on two dozen sites.
There's a book that does a pretty good job of explaining the things -- How to Power Tune Weber DCOE and Dellorto DHLA Carburetors (or close to that, it's not in front of me right now), by Des Hammill. If you haven't already been through that one, it's worth a look. When it comes to tuning them for your particular engine, though, you're on your own. No book can predict what yours will want.
