If one's failed, the other's likely close behind. Most of these original mounts are done by this age. On a 740, the oil pan gets perilously close to the front sway bar as the mounts fail. If there's significant engine vibration at idle in gear, which is a very common 740 trait, then I'd go for new mounts. The rear one can be done separately, any time. If it's good, I guess I'd leave it. Doesn't make the other work harder or easier.
