I notice that both of them are meant to replace the OE 860 1127. And that both are plastic/aluminium and 32 mm thick. But if you look closely at the two drawings though, the 65520A has an extra hole in the upper-right corner. I'd say you might be on to something with your thermal switch theory. They have an on-line inquiry page, if I were you I'd try get in touch with them. Please let me know if you run into any language problems.
