Q: Any good books on ECU testing and repair?

If I understand you correctly, your saying that with ECU's (computers) it is not enough to have a schematic, that you need to know the computer code as well.

Just what does that mean in english? What is computer code? Can that be explained in non technical language, or via, a good analogy?

I think computers made cars worse. Everyone is having intermittent this and that problems. Just read the various boards on the WWW. Are there any vehicles free of this nonsense?
