Q: Any good books on ECU testing and repair?

Dan,

Could I just do ohms and continuity testing on parts that are identical (those many small resistors, etc.), and if I find one that has no continuity or is OL on the meter, just replace it, and/or resolder that area?

Also, it would be harder, but I could even leave the ECU hooked up, key on, key off, and engine running, to see if the voltages are consistent at the identical looking parts. Would that at least tell me something?
