The heater core, evaporator, blower fan are part of the ECC. This is the large plastic structure that extends from the right hand side almost to the steering column. Unfortunately to change the heater core it must come out along with the evaporator. Once the ECC unit is on the bench it is easy to change the core. Let me know if you want a written procedure.
