Are you suggesting I stop posting? Not the first time I heard that.
The answer to your (seemingly antagonistic) question is:
Because my old identity was intentionally expatriated by some horse's ass on OPINIONS, and this is the one I chose.
Besides, on top of that, I was getting pretty tired of some people, replying to my posts(as my former identity), and splitting hairs. Most of that crap was pointless. That's a nice reward for having to answer private emails and phone calls from people seeking advice, just to be shat on at a later date, sometimes by the very same people who you helped.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I take virtually nothing from this board. The one or two questions I ask a year usually don't even get answered (like the Dexcool thread we are talking about at this very moment). All I get is shit, for asking questions that make people consider where they are getting their information from, are REALISTIC, and warrant more explanation. Nobody wants to look into evidentiary reasoning anymore. Now everyone just wants to offer "bottom line" opinions and assumptions that make sense simply because of the conspicuous LACK of any other explanation.
Basically, I get virtually no technical help here. I am not the only one, either; there are other contributors to this board, who never ask, but always offer. (Most of them are treated better from what I can see.) All I do is GIVE technical advice--almost universally CORRECT technical advice--and in order to do that, I have to take shit for it too? Doesn't seem fair. In fact, it seems pretty pathetic. I guess that's just human nature, at least for some people.
So, for now or for as long as I feel like it, my name is, "The Expatriate". If I feel like making it "Repatriate", or if I feel like making it Chris, that's what I'm going to do.
Have a really great day, John.
