I suggest finding the ground for each side, take out the screw, sand it and the terminal until shiny, then re-install. On my 240, the passenger side ground is behind the washer bottle, below the coolant tank, and the driver's side is kinda behind the battery. Both are mounted on the inner fenders. When things electrical go wrong ALWAYS suspect the ground.
