Engine Seized! Advice? 200

"...My thinking is that if the cam seized, the (new) belt would either break or strip the teeth,no?..."

Maybe not, if the cam seized while idling, especially with a brand new belt. I'd disconnect the belt and see if I could turn the cam and the crank independently.
