I generally take my old Volvo's down to a local muffler shop that can bend pipe. They build up custom bent systems with my selection of pipe sizes and mufflers. Cost me about $150 each time for systems on my 1800E and PV from the downpipe on back.

I used 2 1/4 inch on the PV - it has a 2.2 liter engine with a header, roller rockers, and Weber DCOE's. The 1800E has a stock B20E and I used 2 inch pipe.
