Rod Knock 700

I got a new Volvo crate motor when my 283K B230FT developed a rod knock.
I didn't need the dealer to tell me what the noise was. It was a F---ing loud knock. Quiet as a mouse at idle but give it a little gas under load and the rap, rap, rap... was unreal. Piston slap is anoying and yes goes away or lessens when the motor warms up. Rod knock gets worse as the RPMs rise and gets louder. It never goes away or lessens when the motor heats up.
