I actually installed the Bilstein HDs on my 94 940 wagon a few months ago. I had the use of a rack so it only took me about 1 1/2 hours to do the front and back. I also replaced the front springs at the same time. At first I thought I made a major mistake with the HDs because it was very firm after the original shocks. The wife was not happy. I told her "give it a month to settle" hoping for the best and they actually did settle into a more acceptable ride. I wouldn't trade them for anything right now. My older 86 745 GLE is lowered with Intrax springs, BOGE Gas shocks, IPD sway bars, and later 16" turbo wheels and the 940 handles and rides much better.
