I used the IPD "K" cam (also called their 7001 cam, I think) in a '75 B20 with very good results. Of course, it also had an overbore (to 2.2), headers, dual valve springs, alloy retainsers, bronze guides, and on and on --- and fully balanced.
The K cam bumped the torque curve up about 1000 rpm... so the higher top end allowed by the valve springs and lightened (and stiffer) pushrods and lifters AND the engine balancing made it all the more fun. Oh, yeah, I did the head, too, and cc'd the combustion chambers and raised the c/r to about 10.5:1.... And even opened up the intake manifold (went through three Dremel tools with that project).
I liked that car. Too bad it rusted soooooo fast....

Get a high speed trailer and you'll be OK.
