If your Tach went down to nothing it could be your power stage module or your hall sensor. If not then it could be your Radio noise suppression relay or your fuel injection/ fuel pump relay, as far as 740 1988 volvo GLe's are concerned. Check the FAQ or the archives have tons of help there.
