This was my first day with the Srixons, and on the way home from work this evening, my Volvo turned over 280,000 miles. The Sumitomos have replaced a set of three-year-old Michelin X-Metrics.
My first impressions were that the Srixons grip really well, have excellent balance, but don't hold up well in high winds. Today's total driving was about 190 miles, mostly in Tennessee's Upper Cumberland Plateau. The wind blew the car around considerably more than it ever managed to with the aged Michelins.
One possible contributing factor may be a suspension problem. While admiring the Volvo with the new tires, I noticed the car's front left corner sagging a little. It's also noticeable from the rear.
