radio interference 700

The antenna connection is just fine. By ignition noise I mean the heavy static (sounds like a machine gun) which rises and falls with engine rpms. The receiver is actually being interfered with by the spark plugs or ignitions wires as they fire. When using the am band the only stations that are listenable are those whose transmitters are within a few miles of the vehicle.
