Check the basics. Is it getting spark? If not, a likely cause is the hall sensor inside the distributor. No fuel pump action? check the relay. These are non interference engines, unless you have the 16 valve or a high performance cam. To check for a broken t-belt, see if the cam rotates by looking through the oil filler while someone cranks it. See the 700/900 FAQ above for more info.
