Weird squealing 200 1983

First off check the alternator belt tension. Then do a sound source check. I use a 4 foot lengtt of black 1/2 inch nylon pipe (mostly 'cause that's what I have lying around) with one end near my ear and the other held near a suspect bearing such as p/s/ pump or alternator. You'll be amazed at what you can hear.

On the alternator, check the front bearing and rear bearing.
Good Luck,

Bob
