any cold starting suggestions?? 700

I have the same car, with what sounds like exactly the same problem. Its driving me nuts that other POS's are starting on my street and my brick won't. Same as you I have checked or fixed everything that I thought it could be. As with you I don't always hear the pump when I turn on the ignition. If you solve your problem please post as I would love to fix this myself too.
