240 stereo problem/question/request

I hope to replace the CR-712 radio in our '90 240DL with a new CR-718. However, the CR-718 did not come with documentation or a connector. Does anybody have a 14-pin connector from a CR-718 they would be willing to part with? I also need a copy of the radio documentation. In return I would be happy to trade a sporadically functional CR-712 with original documentation. Heck, I'd even be willing to pay cash or trade some other 240 parts. My wife is going to divorce me if I don't get this radio replaced!

One final question. Has anybody used a external CD player with a CR-718? The radio has a round 13-pin circular socket labeled "CD," so I assume it is possible.
