The Amazon-name has only officially been used in Sweden. Other countries had to contend with 120 because the German moped manufacturer Kreidler had already claimed the rights to exclusively use the name Amazon (they had not done that in Sweden, though). Kreidler objected to Volvo using the name Amazon. I have never seen a Volkswagen with the name Amazon, VW would also have been unable to use that name, of course.
I have a Göteborg built 1970 P131 that was sold on the Swedish market. It was imported to The Netherlands in 1998. It came with the original instruction booklet in Swedish. The cover says "Amazon". I bought a copy of the Dutch version and it says "120" on the cover.
