BTW - the hose from Groton was a perfect fit. No slop. Factory or similar. Makes the job easier than cutting a hose to fit.

I agree with Greg, check the condition of your lock ring, sending unit, wires etc. No point in opening the gas tank twice. My sending unit was rusted where the fuel lines attach. I also installed a new lock ring which slipped right on...The fuel lines can also deteriorate and need to be replaced.
