Just wanted to let anyone out there who is still running points and condenser in on the Pertronix 2844 ignition module. Just purchased the unit for the 1966 1800S. The unit fits completely in the distributor and requires only a two-wire hook up. The black wire connects to the white (negative coil) wire located on the distributor where the condenser attaches, and the red wire to the same lead on the ignition switch as the positive coil wire. Took a grand total of fifteen minutes to install (including setting the timing). The tach works fine and the unit operates perfectly. All in all not a bad $86.50 upgrade (includes S&H).
I left the condenser mounted to the dizzy and put the points in the car as a back up. Looks stock and runs even better.....
