Transmission mount replacement 140-160

Ho Ho Ho there,

Can you explain "Shifting the front mounts as far forward as possible
will help a little."

I actually need to replace both the two motor mounts and the (one?) transmission mount (is that all there is for a overdrive equipped car?). Do I just:
1- loosen the bolts
2- lift the engine
3- replace the mounts
4- and force everything back together?
