With the engine running at a moderate speed, test the system voltage.
At the battery is perhaps the easiest place to do this but almost anywhere
will normally do. Should be 13.5 to 14 volts. If it is 12.6 or less you
have a charging problem.
I put an electronic ignition system out of a 75 240 in mine and after the
last snow swept off the door and climbed in. It didn't turn over one complete
time before it started. And the car had not been run in several days before.
