By "track" I meant evidence of wear on the eccentric caused by the mechanical fuel pump lever. (Sorry, should pick my words more carefully if I expect to be understood.) This, of course, is not proof positive that it's a C cam in there (Someone could have stuck a D, or any other kind , in there and run the block as a B20B.), but it does improve the likelyhood to the point of making it worthwhile to open up the front to pull the cam.
BTW, if it is a C, could that account for my not being able to get rid of detonation without retarding the timing into lethargy, despite my distributor manipulations?
