Bad Rack? S90-V90

My wifes car lost its power steering when the hose loop for the steering system dropped down and started to drag on the pavement. Wore a hole in the hose and all the fluid drained out. They wanted a fortune to replace the hose, so I got a double barbed fitting and cut out the bad section and fit in the fitting. Filled up the pump and ran the air out of it, good ever since. Check the hose on the bottom of the oil pan and see if it has a hole or is worn.
