I second George's suggestion. I had a 67 Saab 3 cylinder 2 cycle that would stick the clutch plate to the flywheel after sitting for awhile. I would start it and warm it up in neutral. Shut it off, shift into 1st gear and start it up. With the clutch pedal in I would lurch about as George describes until the clutch plate broke free. However, a certain amount of attention is needed as once the clutch plate is free from the flywheel the next trip to the floor with the accelerator can easily over rev the engine- but this wasn't much of a problem with the 2 cycle engine.
