difference in rims 140-160

I'm not totally sure, but I *think* your #684910 wheels might be the 5 1/2".. I know for sure that those ending in 000 or 001 are only 5". SOme of the wider ones do have the width stamped either between the lug bolt holes. Others have it in the middle of the inside where the air goes... I know I've got a set of 5.5s, but they ain't here so I can't double check right away.

An easy check is to just measure 'em... I'm pretty sure you can get a pair of dail calipers though the square holes and measure the outer edge.... of course, take the thickness of the steel into consideration. Of just use it for comparison of your known 5 "wheels.

Also, 195/65 is on the wide side for a 5" rim, and it will look it. I'm guessing the previous owner wanted to fit the wider tires and sourced a set of wider rims... Which would explain the extra set in your trunk.

Only problem with that theory is that I didn't think they started using the wider ones until '72 or later... but I may be wrong on that. A '71 142e may have had 'em...

If you do for sure have a full set of the 5 1/2 wheel, definitely keep 'em together. They ain't easy to find. 'specially in a full set...
