The 260's had leather shifter boots offered in black or tan. I personally like the rubber boot because it looks better (I do not like the loose look of the leather shifter boot) and when the rubber ages its color stays about the same (as for the leather it tends to get lighter in some areas so it look awful). Just came back from a trip to the boneyard and noticed 2 rubber shifter boots in great shape. I'm sure you can find some at whatever boneyard you go to. I believe that Volvo World also sells shifter boots and the price seems reasonable. In the end if you do go to a boneyard do not spend more than $5 for a boot, at least that's what I was told the price was. Good Luck!
Sincerely,
