Front Engine Seals 200

Well, I made the tool for the crank shaft seal out of PVC pipe from ACE hardware. It cost me about $1.24 and worked very well to push it in. You can use PVC for all the seals to push them in, just run to the hardware store once you get your seals, match up the dia with the dia and then make it look like the Volvo special tools in the Bentley. If you need a pic of that, let me know, i'll take one and email it to ya.

Get a seal pick to pick them out with. It looks like a dentist tool and you can get it at autozone or napa or auto part store. about $6. picking them out takes the most time cause if they are really old, they break into a thousand pieces.

DO NOT forget to oil up the seals well before installation, else they will fail on you by drying up (it gets hot next to the engine block). but don't over oil them or they may slide out and then you have problems. Moderation is key.

Good luck
Chuck
