Why add power steering? It robs the motor of extra power that it really needs. If you have to have it, get a complete setup from the junkyard. You will not only need the pump, the rack and hoses, but you will also need the tie rod ends and maybe the ball joints too. You will also need the crank pulley with the tripple pulleys. One goes to the A/C and P/S. and two to the alternator. That's a lot of work. I personally don't think power steering is necessary on a small car. I have P/S on my 245's, but they ALWAYS LEAKED. I replaced one rack with a TRW rebuilt one. Now that one leaks too. Besides it's a good workout. My aunt with only one arm drives an 80's Corrola wagon without P/S and she's never had a problem. My uncle put a spinner knob on the wheel for her, kind of retro looking.
