(In advance, my excuses for my spanglish).
At least, change the pressure switch first (jcwhitney have some).
I try to adapt a additional mechanical switch on my 121. It now manage my rear (under bumper) strobe light. Work fine, but due I made it with bolts and nuts, from time to time I need to adjust the clearance (some day i will be time to make a more solid version of it). Btw: I use pieces of ranurated angles (the ones used on storage areas)with the nuts and bolts (a deja vu of childrens meccano).
Btw, just in jcwhitney I see a pair of red lights, it would be look good on a 544 with a mechanical or (new) hidraulic brake switch:

As a additional protection, I fit very small lights (red & amber) to the sides near to the rear of my car (that ones come form light kits for use on place of windscreen washers). Small addition, camouflaged near to the crome line.
Happy driving
