Electrical wierdness 120-130 1966

Been a long time since I owned a 122, but they were not equipped with the strongest generators. The squeek on mine as I remember, was partially due to the bottom mounting of the generator --- it was worn and hard to keep tight.

I would look for bad grounds first. Next, try to wire your stereo directly to the battery and make a direct to frame ground for the stereo. You may want to try the ground first, but on cars that old grounding failures are common.
