flame trap replacement 200

I assume the old one is still on the car?
Look under the intake manifold in front of and near the oil filler tube for a short plastic tube about one inch in diameter. It will be very oily if it has not been cleaned or replaced in a long time. Disconnect the vacumn lines ,remove the tube from the car and look inside. You will see the flame trap. It may be brass or plastic. Remove and replace with the new one. Replace the tube and vacumn lines. If the tube or the lines are cracked, I would replace them as well.

Clean it at every oil change and it should last for years...and so will your seals.
