steering 1800

pretty much everyone who has driven my '73p1800es says its hard to steer at low speeds (can't parellel park with one hand). i tell them it doesn't have power assisted steeting plus its a sports car. it does take more energy than most other stuff i used to drive but i kinda like it...
however, its the only p1800 i've ever driven. was wondering if others here have gotten similar comments.
