I used a 15/16 six point deep socket with a pneumatic impact wrench to remove and install the strut nuts on an 83 240. Loosen (don't remove) before you jack the car up and give a final tightening when complete and the front end is back on the ground. If you have an impact wrench, go ahead and run a test and see if the nuts will loosen and tighten. If you are concerned about the torque and the nuts backing off, keep an eye on them for a few weeks after you complete the job and hit'em again with the impact wrench for good measure. jp
