Ah, yes. Been there, done that.

I use a long piece of straightened coathanger wire to snake wires through those tight, sneaky places. Bend a small hook at the end of the coathanger wire, stuff it up from the bottom, hook onto the new harness, and pull it down. Takes ~10 seconds.
