940 vs 240??? 200 1986

That really comes down to what you want in a car. Both cars are fine vehicles, but there are differences in "purpose," at least for me. If I did a lot of interstate driving, I would go with the 940. It's a more modern car, it's quieter, cruises better, and has more luxury appointments. OTOH, the 240 is more utilitarian, it will run forever, it is very manuverable in downtown parking areas, and its appearance is timeless. Also, I think if you keep both cars ten years (which I always do), I am betting the resale on the 240 will be greater, as a well maintained 240 is the ultimate teenager car (whether they believe it or not!), 'round town "beater," etc. Ten yars after, the 940 probably will be considered just another worn out luxury car, IMHO.
