Brake Pipe Replacement Tips? 700 1990

If you're a purist, you'll retch at this—but I would just replace the bad end, using a 3/16" compression union (yes, the hardware store kind).

You could buy a short length at NAPA (make sure it's an ISO aka "bubble" flare, and European - not Asian - metric thread), cut and bend as needed to fit.

Of course it will rust in time, not being the Volvo copper alloy. I keep a stock of Volvo lines & fittings cut from junkyeard master cylinders for my brake line repairs.

I'm not the only one doing this, as seen in this link

And paraphrasing from the 700/900 Service Manual Gr 51, open a bleeder, block the brake pedal down, then close bleeder—to stop fluid loss from MC while lines are open.
