This all started yesterday. I was accelerating to about 40-50mph and the motor just died. The tach drops but all the other electricals stay on. I tested for spark out of the distributor and there is none. I test for power from the coil and has about 15v going to the distributor. So I changed out the distributor and power stage (ignition amp.)for a used ones on the side of the road and I suddenly have spark at the distributor. I drove home thinking the distributor was the problem and all is well again..... I went out today and at the same speed 40-50mph the car just died again. Power at the coil but nothing at the distributor again. Car wont start. What the heck is going on? The car is a '88 760 turbo BTW.
