Blower motor replacement - how long to plan? 200 1990

Check this out: www.sonic.net/~zipzippy/volvo/volvo%20240%20faq.html

When I did my 1990 with airbag, in fact the first time I have ever owned a Volvo, it took me 5.5 hours. As the others note, taking both seats out is a super duper plus. I did not remove the dash, but the next time (if there ever is) I would do so.

If you do not have the good fortune of having a photographic memory or are not used to working on cars in such a capacity, the labeling method works wonders for getting everything back together again. The car is almost stripped bare, or so it will seem, in the front.

The clips around the blower housing are a major PITA. And, believe it or not, no major tools are required just tons of patience. Take breaks and breathers.

Do research. Bentleys is very vague on this subject so the web-site at the top of this response will help tremendously.

DO NOT skimp on replacing the resistor pack. You be in there, so it is beneficial in the end.

If any more help is required just post up!

Peace, Jon
