Did you check for codes as soon as you had the trouble?

Our '90 745 GL had some issues and when I tried for codes immediately, I got an incomplete code.
When I got home I got 111.

I found that the problem was not driving the car enough, it sat on my patio for a month while my wife's friend got a check so that she could buy our brick.

The only time that I have had troubles with 740s is when I did not drive them - then bad connections reared their ugly heads.
